Problems of Orthodox Christians in Little Asia
Millions of Christians of Little Asia (Anatolia, Cappadocia, Opsikion, Pontus, Ionia, Lower Armenia, Antioch and Nicomidia) were terrorised and tortured during centuries. Now days they are all but forgotten.
Mass killings and genocide, a word invented after the turkish mass extinction crime on Armenians of Asia Minor at the beginning of 20th century, were implemented on a mass scale on the entire nations who lived on the peninsula. Greeks Armenians, Syrians, Kurds, and others were killed, expelled and systematically erased from history and geography of the country. Turkish crimes over all the crimes are unpunished and uncondemned.
See the pictures of crimes and terror over Greeks and Armenians of Ionia Region and Smyrna, Asia Minor. (may contain images of terror).
After the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923, and the mass driving of Greeks out of the ancient cradle of Greek Culture, the turks have organised special way of driving of Greeks from Constantinople, the unique Greek town they have erected more than 4,000 years ago on the shores of Sea of Marmara. See how Turkish policies helped drive out Istanbul Greeks - a matter of the Greek education in Constantinople. The gradual laws and restrictive policies against the Greek education and the education system have led to massive emigrations and sometimes flows of refugees form ancient Byzantine capital. |
